They’ve been waiting T to tie the knot since getting engaged in 2014 – but now pals say Courteney Cox and fiancé Johnny Mcdaid have finally set the date and are excitedly planning to wed this summer. The couple – who were introduced by mutual pal Ed Sheeran in 2013 – had called off their wedding following a brief split in 2015, amid reported rows over whether to marry in LA or Snow Patrol singer Johnny’s hometown of Derry in Ireland. But insiders tell Closer that the pair have finally agreed to compromise. A source says,“They’ve decided to have a small ceremony in Ireland at the local church near to Johnny’s childhood home, followed by a big party back in LA at Courteney’s Malibu home on the beach. They’ve set the date for the Irish part on 15 June – which will be Court’s 54th birthday – and then they’ll celebrate in LA the following month on Johnny’s 42nd birthday.”

But pals say that while the Friends star is excited about her upcoming nuptials, her best pal Jennifer Aniston’s recent split from husband Justin Theroux is putting a dampener on the plans.

The source says, “Court’s desperate to share every detail with her best friend, but she’s stopping herself out of sensitivity to Jen, who she knows is dealing with the stress and pain of her second divorce. Court’s conscious about not rubbing her happiness in Jen’s face.”

The former co-stars have been best pals for over 20 years and have shared numerous holidays together – with Courteney even joining Jen and Justin on their honeymoon in Bora Bora after they tied the knot in 2015.

And pals say Courteney – who divorced her first husband David Arquette in 2013, with whom she shares daughter Coco, 13 – has decided to wait at least a month before discussing wedding plans with Jen.

The source adds, “Jen appreciates her playing things down but she’s told Court that, if anything, it’s a welcome distraction from her divorce. She’s made it clear she wants to be involved as much as possible so she can be as big a support to Court as Court was to her in the build-up to her own big day.”
