ITV’S hit show set in a chaotic hospital in South India, run by straight-talking Dr Lydia Fonseca (Amanda Redman), is back! In this opening episode, the staff and patients are suffering the effects of a severe heatwave, and junior doctor Ruby Walker (Amrita Acharia) has a dramatic day performing her first ever surgery.

The series was FACT FILE filmed last summer in Sri Lanka, not India like it says on the tin (because it’s monsoon season in India).
