DAVID LOSES IT AT THE BOXING

CORONATION STREET

-

fter weeks of banging on about A it and sticking to water at The Rovers, the day finally dawns for the men of Corrie to lather up with the olive oil and show off their guns at Josh’s charity boxing match (in memory of Luke, who was killed in an act of violence…) David isn’t meant to be taking part because of his epilepsy, but there’s barely a chance for anyone to slip their teeth guards in before he’s forced his way into the ring and is knocking the living daylights out of Gary. Gary has to be rushed to hospital with a bleed on the brain, and it’s touch and go whether he will survive (Sarah is furious and tells Gail she can no longer live in the same house as David). David’s week gets worse when a steroid needle is discovered – and everyone thinks he’s been taking drugs. In other news, Toyah and Eva go to an antenatal class, but the topic is “dads” and how great they are – so later Toyah talks to Eva and tells her to go and hit Aidan with the truth. This creates a massive hoo-hah, and sneaky Simon ends up involved, as well. Our lips are sealed – other than to say trouble is most definitely brewing. There IS some happy news for one couple on the Street, and also for lovely Craig, who finds out his police application has been successful (yay).

LOUISA GETS DRUNK SUN 8 APR, 8PM, ITV

Louisa is appalled at Gerry’s spelling, so decides he needs to go to school. Unfortunately, she’s been hitting the liquor fairly hard since losing Aunt Hermione and after “Leslie and Daphne made a baby no one wants,” so she accidentally turns up drunk to the interview – thus it doesn’t go swimmingly. Elsewhere, Larry’s friend Prince comes to stay and there’s a bit of confusion.
