‘I RELAX IN PJS AND PRIMARK SLIPPERS!’

6.30AM – I don’t set an alarm as my son, AJ [four], always wakes me up. He’ll climb into my bed around 6am wanting to play – I never get to lie-in! I can’t start my day until I’ve had a coffee, so I’ll have a large cup with a ham and cheese omelette for breakfast. 7AM – I try to plan my outfit the night before for ease. I buy my clothes in Zara and H&M, but I love shopping online, too – Miss Pap and ASOS have some great stuff. 9AM – I don’t have a strict morning beauty routine, but as I’ve got older I’ve realised how important it is to look after my skin, especially because I’ve had a few health problems in the past [she’s undergone a double mastectomy, a hysterectomy and heart surgery in recent years]. I’ll never leave the house without applying suncream under my foundation, and I’ll finish my look with Charlotte Tilbury lipstick and a swipe of Benefit mascara. 11AM – Most of my day is taken up with charity work or filming, so I don’t have a lot of free time, but if I do get a spare moment, I like to catch up with the school mums or go to the gym. But mostly I’ll be tidying the house – there’s always something to clean! 1PM – For lunch, my go-to dish is Heck chicken sausages with lots of greens. If I’m out and about I’ll grab a healthy snack pot from Pret as it’s really convenient. 3PM – During the day, I live in Elle Sports gym gear as I like to be comfortable. As soon as I get through the door in an evening, I’ll pop on my pyjamas and Primark slippers! 6PM – I’m a massive foodie, so I enjoy cooking hearty dishes with a healthy spin. I also make my own white wine sauce as it’s a great excuse for opening up a bottle that then has to be drunk! For date night, me and Hugh [Hanley, a personal trainer] will go to Sushi Samba in London – I love the view and sushi is my favourite, so it’s a real treat. 7.30PM – I find it hard to switch off, but I do try to spend time relaxing with the family. As we all have such different tastes in films, we’ll spend an hour arguing about what to watch, then realise it’s actually too late to put anything on! 9PM – I always remove my make-up before going to bed. I don’t like to spend a lot of money on skincare products so I’ll stick to brands such as No7 or Nivea – they are affordable but still do the job, which I love. 10PM – Hugh and I always go to bed together and head up at 10pm. I’ll usually check my phone and catch up with friends on Whatsapp – I don’t like to do that when we’re downstairs having quality time as a family. I end up falling asleep around 11.30pm.
