Megan: “I don’t worry about Mike’s ‘player’ past”
TOWIE’S Megan Mckenna reveals how she’s tamed Love Island ladies’ man ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis...
She’s had her fair share S of relationship dramas, but last week Megan Mckenna looked happier than ever, cosying up to her new boyfriend Mike Thalassitis.
And the TOWIE star-turned-singer tells Closer that after her roller-coaster relationship with Pete Wicks – who allegedly cheated on her with around 20 girls – she’s really excited about her new romance with “Muggy Mike”.
“It’s going really well and I’m very happy,” she giggles. “He’s honestly such a nice boy. People haven’t seen the side of him that I see – he’s a lovely boy, and we get on really well.”
FAMOUS EXES
Since rising to fame via Ex On The Beach, Megan, 24, has been linked to the likes of reality star Jordan Davies and Geordie Shore’s Scotty T. She joined the cast of TOWIE in 2016, when she started dating co-star Pete Wicks. Their tempestuous relationship played out on-screen, with the pair calling it a day last October after some vitriolic shouting matches and allegations of cheating from both sides.
Meanwhile Mike, also 24, entered the spotlight last summer when he took part in Love Island, quickly building himself a bad boy reputation by dating girls already coupled-up in the villa, and having a rumoured romance with Jessica Shears.
Since leaving the villa, Mike has been linked to a string of women, including Love Island host Caroline Flack, and was branded “chauvinistic” for his behaviour on TV show Celebs Go Dating.
But Megan – who began dating Mike earlier this year – says she isn’t fazed by the former footballer’s “player reputation”, insisting everyone has a past.
“Do you know what? I don’t even worry about what he was up to before,” she says. “It is none of my business. It’s the same with me – everybody has a past, and when you meet people, they deserve a chance. You could have been a player before, but I feel like as soon as you meet that right person, things can change. I’m hoping I’m the ‘right girl’.”
GIRLS’ NIGHTS OUT
While Megan’s feeling lucky in love at the moment, she insists that her new relationship status won’t compromise her girls’ nights out – and says that she especially loves partying with her very close pal, Lauren Goodger.
She says, “I’ll always love going out with the girls, and I really enjoy my nights out with Lauren. I love her – I’ve known her for years, and she’s always going to be one of my good mates. We have a great laugh on a night out together.”
