HOW JEALOUSY TORE JENNA & CHANNING APART

- By Daisy Mclure

Pals have revealed how P Channing Tatum’s hard partying, as well as competition over work, broke his eight-year marriage to Jenna Dewan.

The pair – who began dating shortly after they met on their 2006 movie Step Up – shocked Hollywood when they split last week.

But insiders tell Closer that, despite Channing and Jenna, both 37, insisting they chose to “lovingly separate as a couple”, the reality of their break-up is more painful.

An insider says, “When they met, they were both at the start of their careers, but Channing quickly eclipsed Jenna’s success, and that became a problem.

“Jenna also felt that Channing was still behaving like a party boy. They split a few months ago and it was Jenna who ended things. It was still a heartbreaking decision for her.”

The pair – who share a daughter, Everly, four – claimed in their statement that there were “no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision”, while a rep for Jenna denied that drinking played any part in their break-up.

A source reveals, “Jenna felt at times that fame had gone to Channing’s head and that he behaved as though he could do anything he wanted. There was some jealousy on her part, but she also resented that he was still re-living his youth by partying a lot, when they were supposed to be settled down as a family. They’re both heartbroken.”
