Liam over-shares about Cheryl… yet again!

As Liam Payne interrupts Cheryl on the toilet during a phone interview, pals say they think she’s growing tired of his unfiltered behaviour

❛THEY’VE HAD THIS CONVERSATION BEFORE – SHE’S ASKED HIM TO BE CAREFUL❜

He’s already revealed how he’s been reprimanded by Cheryl for his embarrassing overshares in the past, including how she thought she was “massive” after having their son Bear, now one, and that she had “no complaints” about the size of his penis. And last week, fans slammed the former One Direction singer, 24, for his “childish” and “immature” behaviour when he interrupted his girlfriend while she was in the toilet during a live phone interview.

Speaking with Nick Grimshaw – also known as Grimmy – on his breakfast show, Liam asked 34-year-old Cheryl if she’d had “a number one or number two”. She could be heard asking him to “stop it.” He then joked to Grimmy, “She’s going to kill me when we get off the phone. If I’m still alive and haven’t been killed at the end of this phone call… Hopefully I’ll survive the wrath of the Chez, see you later.”

Commenting on the awkward interview, one fan wrote, “He’s so childish and immature.” While another blasted, “‘I’m starting to feel sorry for Cheryl.”

A source reveals, “Liam can be very cheeky with Cheryl. Sometimes she finds it funny, but there are other occasions when friends wouldn’t blame her for cringing or being angry and upset. Cheryl was caught off guard by the live phone chat and thought the toilet comment was crass. She must have felt a bit embarrassed and like she was put on the spot.”

But despite the embarrassing interview, Cheryl looked happy as she flew to Cannes Film Festival last week in her role as L’oréal ambassador to attend the makeup brand’s red carpet event.

HUMILIATED

This isn’t the first time Liam has humiliated Cheryl. He previously revealed to Grimmy that Cheryl “doesn’t like to talk about” their ten-year age gap, but then continued to mention it repeatedly. Last month, Liam revealed his nickname for Cheryl was “old Chezza”, adding that she’d “absolutely kill him” for mentioning it. And in September last year, he said their relationship was a “ridiculous” place to be in because of how they met. He recalled, “I was watching her do Fight For This Love [her debut solo single from 2009] when I was a kid, and now we’re together with a kid.”

The source reveals, “Cheryl doesn’t like people bringing up that Liam is younger, and it niggles her when people call him immature or childish. No one

would blame Cheryl for feeling annoyed at times. They’ve had this conversation before and she’s asked him to be careful.”

Liam also spoke candidly about fatherhood and his son Bear – who has never been pictured – in an interview last week, insisting, “A mother and child is the most beautiful thing to watch, but they’re the closest thing ever and you’ll never be as close. A lot of dads feel put out in that sense. I didn’t really feel put out, but I was like, ‘Where’s my place?’”

But he was forced to deny reports that his comments suggested he was “jealous” of Cheryl’s relationship with Bear, Tweeting, “Never once did I use the word jealous... a relationship between a mother and a newborn is the most beautiful thing. I just said I struggled with my place in this and what I could do to become a part of that with not having the same natural maternal instincts as a mum does.”

FRUSTRATING

The source says, “Liam just can’t help himself when it comes to talking about his relationship with Bear. He’s still young and he’s found fatherhood to be this wild ride that he wants to talk about. He’s always trying to tell Cheryl that it doesn’t do them any harm, but occasionally after he gives a personal interview, they chat about how he could have said things differently or how his words may have been misinterpreted. Of course Cheryl must find it frustrating, but a lot of it is out of her control.”

Last week’s revelations are the latest in a long line of private moments that Liam has divulged about his family life, while Cheryl has become more guarded over the past few years.but pals say the couple are back in a good place following reports of trouble in the relationship. The source adds, “They’ve been getting back on the right track and they’re happy again, so no one wants anything to ruin that.”

PR expert Nick Ede tells Closer, “I think Liam makes these comments because he wants to bring out his personality and show his fun side. But it’s no doubt embarrassing Cheryl – her brand is a classy one, so these comments aren’t helping her image. Cheryl and Liam need to think about their brand. They need to work out who they want to appeal to.”
