‘I cook three different dinners’

I’M WOKEN UP BY MY 21-MONTHOLD DAUGHTER MILA AT 7.30AM. I’ll give her milk and, for my breakfast, I’ll have some aloe vera gel mixed with water to kick-start my metabolism, then some fruit with coconut milk yoghurt. AFTER DROPPING OFF MILA AT NURSERY AT 9AM, I HEAD TO MY STUDIO WHERE I TEACH YOGA. Yoga makes me feel amazing, I love it! Afterwards, I’ll pick up Mila and take her home for lunch at around 1.30pm. She’s a very active toddler, so it’s good that she gets to interact with other kids at nursery. FOR LUNCH, I’LL HAVE A SUPERFOOD SALAD. That means beans, seeds, chickpeas and any mixed grains, then some carrot sticks with houmous for a snack. Mila has finger food, like sweet potato cubes and fish fingers. We don’t feed her a vegan diet as we want her to try everything and then she can make up her own mind. WE ALL HAVE DINNER TOGETHER AS A FAMILY AT 6PM. We have Ben’s twin daughters, Harriette and Isabelle [10], from his previous marriage, half the time, so some nights it’s all of us around the table. The girls aren’t vegan so I often find myself cooking three different meals! I GIVE MILA A BATH BEFORE BED AT AROUND 7.30PM. It’s a lovely bonding time for us before we tuck her in at 8pm. Ben and I watch boxsets, like Suits or Billions, together in the evening. We usually head to bed around 10pm so we only get a few episodes in before we feel tired!
