Heartbroken Jacqueline: “How will we cope without Dan?”

After confirming she’s “on a break” from Dan Osborne, pals say pregnant Jacqueline Jossa is facing the reality of being a single mum

Just two weeks J after Jacqueline Jossa graced the cover of Closer, showing off her baby bump and insisting she and husband Dan Osborne were “happy”, shock news emerged claiming the couple had split.

Amid reports that former TOWIE star Dan, 26, had moved out of the family home, Jacqueline, 25 – who is eight months pregnant with their second child – revealed they were “dealing with things privately as a team” insisting, “there is always two sides to every story.”

And staying tight-lipped about the reason for their split on Loose Women, Jacqueline would only say she and Dan weren’t “getting on at the moment”.

Last week, the couple, who’ve been married for less than a year, were pictured looking strained at a car park near their home with their daughter Ella, three, and Dan’s son Teddy, four, from his relationship with ex Megan Tomlin. Pals close to the actress –who had told Closer that Dan was an “incredible dad” and that “both kids are obsessed with him” say she’s heartbroken.

at the moment being pregnant. She’s putting on a brave face for Ella, but she doesn’t know how to explain what’s going on. Dan’s been messaging Jac constantly and is keen to work things out. It should be an exciting time for them, but they’re both miserable. She doesn’t know what or who to believe. She’s not sure how she’ll cope with a newborn without Dan.”

In the wake of the reports, fans linked Dan with former Love Island star Gabby Allen, 26 – who split from Marcel Somerville last week – after they were snapped looking “cosy” on a yacht while at a fitness retreat in Marbella with Calum Best and Stephanie Davis. One fan wrote, “I’m sure his pregnant wife wasn’t one bit happy to see him all over the papers cosy with another woman last week. He doesn’t act like a married man.” Dan broke his silence and fired back at the troll on Instagram (see right), then took to Twitter to slam those “giving him stick” (see left).

Jacqueline recently told Closer that the first four months of her pregnancy were “horrendous”. She said, “I was sick almost every morning. This time was hard, but luckily it stopped at 16 weeks and since then I’ve felt great.”

Pals say that after the rocky start, Dan struggled to keep in touch during his trip to Marbella. The source adds, “Dan is really focused on work and he didn’t always have his phone with him while working. Jac was more sensitive than usual and was hurt Dan didn’t reply to her quickly – it seems like they both felt each other was acting unfairly.”

In February, Jacqueline – who played Lauren Branning in Eastenders – was written out of the soap so she could focus on motherhood, while Dan juggled his personal trainer job and tattoo business. The source reveals, “They’ve both been busy and stressed and haven’t had much time for each other. They just seem to have grown apart.”

Their romance certainly hasn’t been short of drama. The pair were introduced at an awards bash in 2013 and, the following year, they announced they were expecting a baby, just eight months after Dan’s ex had his son. During Jacqueline’s first pregnancy, Dan created a stir when he said, “Is Jacqueline The One? It’s hard to say, but I’d like to think so.”

A ‘MISTAKE’

Shortly after Ella’s birth, voice recordings came to light of Dan being abusive towards Megan, threatening to “knife” her if she got with another man and branding his relationship with Jacqueline a “mistake”. A police investigation into Dan’s threats was launched, but later dropped, and he was subsequently axed from TOWIE. In 2016, Jacqueline admitted to Closer that she was tired of defending Dan, saying, “I don’t care about negativity with me and Daniel, I’m over it. I’m not defending him any more.”

And friends say Jacqueline worries her relationship with Dan was always doomed. The source adds, “She always feared someone would try to ruin their happiness. She’s been through so much drama with Dan, but she knows she has to get through this for the sake of her kids.”
