Jacqueline: “I want us to be a family – but I’ll make Dan sweat”

After cheating claims, pals say Jacqueline Jossa isn’t going to make a reconciliation easy for Dan Osborne

Just days after J reports surfaced that she’d contacted a mystery woman following allegations her husband Dan Osborne cheated on her last summer, Jacqueline Jossa was pictured out for a walk with the former TOWIE star, their daughter, Ella, three, and Dan’s four-year- old son, Teddy.

The unnamed woman claimed Jacqueline, 25, had messaged her demanding “the truth” about rumours she’d slept with Dan, 26. The messages – believed to be from the former Eastenders star, who is almost eight months pregnant – read, “I’ve just been told something and I really need to hear it from you. All I want is the truth.”

As Closer went to press, there were reports the pair were near a reconciliation, but insiders say Jacqueline is still devastated over recent events and isn’t going to make life easy for Dan.

DEVASTATED

A source says, “Going through this while pregnant has been

❛ horrendous for her. Jacqueline’s devastated at the thought Dan could have cheated, more so as it was supposedly just weeks after their wedding. She still doesn’t know what to believe and isn’t any clearer, even though she has been trying to get to the bottom of things. She’s been determined to stay civil and remain friendly whenever they’re around Ella, but it’s been an emotional roller coaster. “She’s a proud person. The last thing she wants is to be seen as a pushover.”

Dan was seen moving his belongings out of the family home earlier this month, and Jacqueline later confirmed their split on Twitter. In the wake of the break-up, pictures surfaced of Dan looking cosy with Lovelove Island’sisland’s Gabbygabby Allenallen atat a fitness retreat in Marbella. Fans were quick to comment on the snap, but Dan hit back, saying, “A woman and a man can’t be friends in this day and age can they?”

Tensions reportedly rose between Jacqueline and Dan while he was in Marbella, as she grew increasingly annoyed that he was barely in touch with her during the trip.

Their split came just days after Jacqueline defended their rocky romance to Closer. She said, “It’s hard when people are talking about your relationship and speculating, and you know none of it is true. But I’ve grown a thick skin to it. Daniel’s an incredible dad, he’s brilliant and both kids are obsessed with him, he’s Mr Fun Dad.”

The source says, “Even though Jacqueline can see a reunion with Dan on the cards, she’s still going to make him sweat. He’s been messaging her a lot and is desperate to sort things out, but she’s been making him wait for her replies. She won’t make it easy for him – she knows she deserves better and won’t forgive and forget easily. Even if they get back together, she wants him to suffer so he knows how serious she is.”

HESITANT

Jacqueline revealed in a recent interview that motherhood has made her feel so strong that “nothing hurts”. But pals say that while she knows she would be fine on her own, she’s hesitant to break up the family unit.

The source adds, “Jacqueline needs time, but both she and Dan will fight for their relationship. She wants him at the birth of their baby and, in her heart, still wants them to be a family.”
