Chloe: “This baby will heal the rift with Jeremy’s ex”
Pregnant Chloe Green hopes her new arrival will clear the air with the ex-wife of her ‘hot felon’ boyfriend Jeremy Meeks
Showing off her baby bump on her billionaire father’s luxury yacht in Monaco, Chloe Green looked relaxed and happy last week as she soaked up the sun and flaunted her curves in a green bandeau bikini.
The Topshop heiress, 27 – who’s reportedly due to give birth to her first child with her former jailbird boyfriend, Jeremy Meeks, 34, next month – has been keeping a low profile since reports of her pregnancy first emerged earlier this year. And pals say Chloe, who publicly showcased her relationship with Jeremy during the initial months of their relationship, has been excitedly preparing for motherhood. A source reveals, “Chloe’s on cloud nine and incredibly excited to start a family with Jeremy. She’s feeling good, apart from some nausea in the early weeks, and she’s been craving Italian food, so she and Jeremy have been indulging in lots of carbfilled meals together!
“The pregnancy was a ‘welcome surprise’, and they were ecstatic when they found out. They just want to enjoy this special time after having so much negative attention on them in the initial stages of their romance.”
CHEATING CLAIMS
The pair’s relationship has endured its fair share of controversy since pictures of them first emerged last year.
Former LA gang member Jeremy had been jailed for nine years in 2002 for grand theft, and served another sentence for gun possession and resisting arrest in 2014.
When he first got together with Chloe, Jeremy’s estranged wife of eight years, Melissa, claimed the former US convict – dubbed the “hot felon” after his prison mugshot went viral in 2014 – had cheated on her with the billionaire heiress.
And shortly after reports of Chloe’s pregnancy emerged, Melissa, 37, claimed she’d suffered a devastating miscarriage after Jeremy left her.
Opening up about the betrayal, Melissa said, “I was hardly functioning. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat. I was a mess.”
But pals say that, despite everything that’s happened, part of the reason Chloe kept her pregnancy under wraps was out of respect to Melissa and the former couple’s sons – Jeremy Jnr, nine, and step-son Robert – who Jeremy still sees regularly.
The source says, “Jeremy wanted to be able to tell Melissa and the kids in his own time, and allow them to adjust to the news privately, rather than just by seeing stories about Chloe’s bump.
MAKING AMENDS
“Chloe’s always secretly feared that there won’t be a smooth relationship with Jeremy’s family and the pressure of that could ultimately risk tearing them apart. She’s keen to heal the situation with Melissa and get things to a stage where they can be amicable – especially as their sons will be half-brothers. She knows that’s the key to them
having a happy future.
“Now she’s going to be a mum, she doesn’t want any more drama and she’s hoping that by remaining respectful to her throughout the pregnancy, Melissa will start to come round. Chloe knows it would be hard but, ideally, she’d like to build some kind of relationship with her, if anything for the sake of the kids.”
And while the couple are said to have been lying low at her parents’ £7million luxury penthouse in Monaco, pals say Chloe’s been splashing out on lavish baby goods.
The insider says, “No expense will be spared for this baby, and she’s having the best nurseries money can buy designed in both their London and LA homes – with handcrafted Italian furniture etched in gold leaf, diamond-encrusted baby goods, cashmere blankets and wardrobes filled with designer clothes.
“The baby will also have its own entourage, including a nanny, baby yoga instructor and its own on-call pediatrician.”
And pals say Chloe’s also been busy planning her wedding after her tycoon dad, Philip, and mother, Tina, reportedly gave the couple their blessing following news of their engagement earlier this year.
LAVISH WEDDING
The source adds, “Chloe and Jeremy are set to marry in St Barts later this summer, and it’s going to be a star-studded, week-long affair.
“Chloe wants to treat their friends and family – flying them in on private jets, bringing in the best chefs from around the world and hiring the biggest music artists to perform.
“They want to celebrate in style, and Chloe says having their newborn there with them will be the icing on the cake.”
