Lauren’s pals warn: “Stop obsessing about Joey”

As Lauren Goodger focuses on her jailbird beau Joey Morrison, friends fear she needs to take a step back

When it comes to her relationships, Lauren Goodger is an all or nothing kind of person. After Closer recently reported that she was already talking about marriage with on/off jailbird beau Joey Morrison, she revealed last week that they had met up following his temporary release. And ahead of Joey’s imminent release from prison for good – where he’s currently serving a 16-year sentence for drug-related offences – Lauren, 31, has set up a business in both their names, invested in “JOEY” number plates on her car, has a picture of them together as her phone screensaver, and even wears a ring on her wedding finger.

Insiders say friends fear the former TOWIE star – who slammed claims last week that Joey had already signed up to dating apps – is now obsessing about her potential future with the convict and already thinking ahead to domestic bliss.

CONSUMED

A source says, “Lauren’s life has become consumed by Joey. She’s busy planning their lives together, spending time with his family over hers, and often sitting at home waiting for his calls.

“She’s spent thousands on a new designer wardrobe for him, as well as talking about the flash car she’s going to get him, and how she can’t wait to be his ‘wifey’ – it seems like she’s devoting her life to being at his beck and call. Her friends have warned her to stop obsessing.”

And pals say the reality star – who recently said, “Getting Botox is like having your nails done,” and had liposuction to help her achieve her size 10-12 body – is going all-out to look as sexy as possible for her man. Last week, she shared a video of herself having a non-surgical face lift – despite denying she’d had anything else done to her face other than lip fillers just days before. Replying to a fan on Twitter, who warned the star against having more cosmetic work, Lauren said, “I’m flattered but never touched my face apart from lips which last three months…”

The source says, “Lauren’s petrified of letting herself slip with Joey and she’s determined not to put on weight again. If she’s not waiting for Joey’s calls or speaking to him, she’s working out, honing her diet plan and spending hours ordering lingerie and sexy outfits to impress him.”

Lauren has only had two serious relationships – an ill-fated engagement to Mark Wright, followed by her “toxic” four-year relationship with Jake Mclean.

BAD BOYS

And pals say that despite having the opportunity to date other men in recent years, Lauren ends up getting hooked on bad boys.

The source adds, “Lauren watched her parents split at a young age and it’s always made her feel vulnerable. She tends to cling on to men who are unavailable, who she knows aren’t the best choice for her. She insists Joey is different, but pals are worried she’s doing too much for him and it could all backfire.”
