Despite Jacqueline D Jossa initially hinting their split was temporary and divorce wasn’t an option, Dan Osborne broke his silence last week, blaming the pair’s constant rows for his separation from his heavily pregnant wife. Speaking in an interview, the former TOWIE star – who has Ella, three, with Jacqueline, who is just days away from giving birth to their second child – said, “I left because we were arguing, and it is such a waste of energy. I still care for Jacqueline, but if we can’t make each other happy then we shouldn’t stay together. Life is too short.” He added that he planned to move back home before the birth, but was unsure if the couple will reunite. Insiders say Dan’s comments have come as a blow to Jacqueline, 25, but she’s determined to stay strong. A source reveals, “Jacqueline is confused about why Dan would speak out like this, and not talk things through with her first. But she still loves him and is about to have another child, so the last thing she wants is for things to be acrimoniou­s. She knows they’re both hurting and angry, but she hopes that once the baby arrives, it’ll give them more of a reason to fight for their relationsh­ip.”

The interview with Dan, 27, was published just days after Closer exclusivel­y revealed he was partying in Manchester without his wedding ring. He was seen cosying up to several women in a bar, and telling bystanders things were definitely over between him and Jacqueline.

The insider adds, “Jacqueline’s a strong, proud person, and she’s not afraid of being a single mum – but that isn’t what she wants. She and Dan are speaking every day, but she’s not ready to sweep everything under the carpet. She thinks they need to take their time, but is still hopeful they can be a family again.”
