lthough she’s starring A alongside her sister Sam in hit reality TV show The Mummy Diaries, that doesn’t mean that Billie Faiers has forgotten where she started. The mum of two – who rose to fame on TOWIE in the original series back in 2010 – tells Closer she still watches the show to keep up with the dramas in Essex, and reveals her only regret about her time on the show was her fashion faux pas. She says, “I love watching TOWIE – I’ll watch it whenever I have the chance. I like to keep up with what everyone is up to. Looking back to when I was on the show, my one real regret is my outfit choices and some of the clothes I wore!” Since leaving TOWIE in 2016, Billie, 28, has remained a firm TV favourite on The Mummy Diaries, which features her family life with fiancé Greg, 43, and children Nelly, three, and Arthur, one.

And Nelly has become a breakout star, with viewers praising her “sassy attitude” and demanding that she get her own show. Billie says that, if it came to it, she wouldn’t rule out a TV career for Nelly, too.

She says, “So many people ask me about Nelly’s own TV show! We are overwhelmed with the response she has had – she’s such a character and is always making us laugh at home, so I’m glad that her personality was shown throughout the show.

“She does love being on camera and seeing herself on screen, and she loves our film crew, too. I’d support her in whatever she wanted to do with her career.”

But Billie says that juggling a career with being a mum can be difficult at times. She admits, “Being a mum is the most rewarding thing in the world, but sometimes it’s challenging. Wanting to be with them all the time while trying to sustain my career and finding a balance can be tough. But I wouldn’t change it for anything.”

And Billie says the juggling act also helps her maintain her slender size 8 figure.

She reveals, “I keep in shape by being on my feet all day running after the kids. I drink lots of water and I eat sensibly most of the time, but I do have the odd treat here and there as well.

“I’ve never been a gym bunny – but I’ve just joined a gym for the first time to get fit, so watch this space.”
