Liam tells Cheryl: “Don’t be afraid to ask for help”

As Cheryl’s comeback commitments ramp up, boyfriend Liam Payne urges her to consider roping in support for their son Bear

She kept a S noticeably low profile after welcoming her son Bear with boyfriend Liam Payne last March, shunning the spotlight to spend time at home. And last week, Cheryl offered an insight into those early days of motherhood, admitting it took six months to “start feeling human again.”

The 34 year old also opened up about juggling her showbiz career with her new role as a mum, saying, “I’m quite organised with the baby because I have to be. And if I plan, then I can book in the grandparents.”

But with the star working on her eagerly anticipated fifth solo album and gearing up to star on Simon Cowell’s new BBC talent show, Greatest Dancer – which is set to air early next year – insiders say she worries over how she’ll juggle everything.

An insider says, “Cheryl took a year away from the spotlight to devote all of her time to Bear and she loved it, but she’d always planned to return to work. With her schedule starting to ramp up, though, it’s beginning to hit home that she can’t take Bear everywhere with her. And she doesn’t know if she can always rely on her mum and Liam’s mum for help.”

Cheryl has been adamant in the past that she wouldn’t hire a nanny, insisting, “It’s just me, Liam and the baby rocking around 24/7.” She’s also been outspoken about the first few years of motherhood being “sacred”, saying, “I want them to wake up and ask for me, not a nanny. That would break my heart.”

But insiders say Liam – who is often touring the world as he promotes his solo material – is encouraging Cheryl to consider hiring help to ease the stress.

The insider says, “Liam can see how tired Cheryl gets trying to manage everything and he’s told her not to be afraid to ask for help if she needs it. She insists she’ll be able to cope alone for now, but would ask for help in the future if she needed it. He knows she only trusts a tight-knit group of friends and family and would struggle leaving Bear with anyone else.”

Liam opened up about Cheryl’s hectic home life last year, saying, “She’s doing it all herself… she knows that I’m going on tour, so has a lot to deal with. Which is hard. I thought that I’d get the call saying, ‘We need a nanny for this,’ but no, she’s doing everything.”

The insider adds, “Cheryl and Liam both work extremely hard, but they are also devoted to spending as much time as a family as possible. Being firsttime parents is hard to adjust to in a relationship and they’re not going to agree on everything, but Liam knows she has a support system around her, and that they both want what is best for Bear.”
