KEEP YOURSELF SAFE

Personal safety expert, Kirsty Henderson, says:

-

1) Keep your phone and bank cards on your person, and expensive jewellery hidden. 2) If you need to use you phone, go inside a shop rather than doing it on the street. 3) When driving, keep your windows up. When parked, leave space between you and the car in front, so you can drive away if threatened. Security film can also be put on your windows. 4) If you see a mugging, call the police. If you can’t speak, dial “55”, so you can alert them without making a sound. Don’t intervene. 5) Find your phone IMEI number by dialling *#06# and make a note of it. Report it to both the police and your mobile provider to stop your phone being used if stolen.
