Ferne: “I’m ready to meet a new man”

As she shows off her post-baby figure on holiday, pals say Ferne Mccann is on the lookout for love

She recently S revealed she was taking a delayed maternity leave to spend quality time with her seven-month-old daughter Sunday, and as Ferne Mccann relaxed in Mallorca last week with her mum Gilly, she was making the most of her time out.

The sunshine break is her third in as many months, with former TOWIE co-star Danielle Armstrong joining Ferne and baby Sunday on holiday in Tenerife in April, while her trip to Marbella with James “Arg” Argent was aired recently on her reality show First Time Mum.

And while the trips provide a welcome break from the star’s hectic filming schedule, friends say they’re a painful reminder for Ferne that she’s raising her daughter alone.

A source says, “There are times Ferne wishes she had someone special to share the responsibility and the happy times with. She feels she can never truly switch off and, although she loves that her mum and friends are around to help, she misses having a man to support her.”

Ferne has endured her fair share of heartache, splitting from boyfriend-of-five-years Charlie Sims in 2015, following claims he’d asked her to choose him over TOWIE. Then, last year, she ended things with Sunday’s father Arthur Collins when he went on the run after throwing acid across a packed London club. He was sentenced to 20 years for the attack and Ferne regularly takes Sunday on a 440-mile round trip to visit him in Full Sutton Prison in Yorkshire. It was recently revealed that she was secretly dating an older man – although reports now claim the couple have split, with Ferne admitting they had more of a “friendship” than a relationship.

Now, pals say the star – who’s confessed to not having had sex in over a year – is on a mission to find someone new.

The source says, “Ferne’s in a really good place and has told pals she’s ready to meet a man. She’s joked with friends about setting her up on dates and is going on nights out in the hope of meeting someone new.

“She knows it’s going to be hard to trust again, but she wants a quiet life after all the drama recently.”
