But Jennifer Metcalfe sparked worry among fans last week, when she was spotted looking noticeably slimmer at the British Soap Awards.

Voicing concern over the 35 year old’s “gaunt” frame, one commented online, “She’s gone too far with her weight loss.” Another added, “She looks scarily skinny…”

Opening up to Closer last November, the Hollyoaks star revealed that she was more confident than ever after giving birth, insisting, “Of course my body has changed since being pregnant and having a baby, but I love it.

“Everything is a bit squidgier, I have arm wings and my thighs are wobblier. My tummy has a little paunch, but I love it because it had Daye in there. It’s not the best my body has ever been, but it is the most secure and confident that I have ever felt.”

The star revealed she was aiming to shape up gradually by introducing the Lighterlife Fast 5:2 diet plan – which involves fasting one or two days a week, then eating normally in between – but insisted, “I’m not trying to lose weight, but it works for me because it means that I can indulge sometimes, too.”

However, in January, the actress revealed she’d slimmed from a size 10 to a size 6 in just six months and said at the time, “I’m proud of my body and what I’ve achieved.”

In 2008, Jennifer sparked fears for her health when she was pictured looking extremely slim in a bikini on holiday.

Opening up to Closer months later about the shock photos, the 5ft 5 star said, “I knew I’d lost some weight, and when I weighed myself, I’d gone from my usual 8½st to about 8st. Yes, I was looking a bit skinny, but I certainly didn’t have an eating disorder.”
