Liam: ‘I’ve got a dad bod!’

He’s been touring the world non-stop to promote his solo material, and Liam Payne shocked fans last week after being pictured on a balcony smoking a cigarette and downing cans of energy drink Red Bull as he enjoyed some downtime in Brazil.

The sight of him smoking came as a surprise, after he insisted last year he’d quit following the arrival of son Bear, explaining, “My life’s not my own any more now, it’s not mine to decide, so smoking had to go.”

Fans also noticed how the star’s usually gym-honed figure appeared a little softer, with one tweeting, “Is he putting weight on?” While another posted, “Not in good shape”.

Liam appeared to hit back at the unflattering photos, posting a very trim picture on his Instagram Stories. But just last month, the star had opened up about his body insecurities, admitting, “I’ve got more of a dad bod at the moment.”
