The Beckhams’ holiday snaps spark new strain fears

Posh’s marriage is under scrutiny yet again after she’s labelled “lonely” and “disconnected from David” on their break

They were snapped on a seaside family break in a string of rare candid pictures, while soaking up the sun on a pebble beach in Montenegro with their four children last week.

But Posh’s much-needed bonding holiday with husband David Beckham – who splits his time on work commitments between Miami and London – was picked apart in cruel comments from trolls, who used their apparent lack of affection as another opportunity to suggest their 19-year marriage is under strain again.

One wrote, “They are not a couple. Hardly look at each other.” Another posted, “Even though they are together they seem very disconnected and, perhaps, lonely”, while another added, “71 pictures and not one of those two looking at each other or talking to each other…hmmmm…”

DIVORCE RUMOURS

The latest criticism comes just weeks after the couple were forced to shoot down more divorce rumours last month following a Twitter frenzy claiming they were about to split – something the Beckhams’ rep later described as “very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time.” Looking at the recent holiday photos, relationship expert Scott Mcglynn tells Closer, “The Beckhams have faced a lot of speculation about their marriage over the years – and it is odd seeing them look so distant on holiday, albeit we’re only seeing a brief snapshot of their time away.

“If you have to spend time apart, as they do with work, you’d expect to see them making the most of each other’s company when together. Victoria isn’t smiling and David doesn’t seem to be particularly focused on her. All relationships need affection – even if you’re not naturally open and touchy-feely.

“But saying that, Victoria and David are on holiday with their kids, which may be a reason for their apparent lack of affection as there’s always a distraction. And 19 years is a long time to be married, so naturally they’re not going to be as loved-up as a new couple.”

With Victoria, 44, travelling the world running her fashion label and David’s charity work and new football team in Miami, the pair’s clashing schedule means they often spend several weeks apart.

And pals say the former Spice Girl arranged the holiday to not only help her and David, 43, reconnect, but for them to spend some quality time with their four children – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13 and Harper, seven.

PRIVATE YACHT

A source says, “Vic wanted to make some life-long memories for them all. She organised a day out on a private yacht with a snorkelling tour and booked some of the best restaurants. She also arranged water sports lessons for the kids and brought a load of their favourite board games along. She wanted it to be just the six of them, without anyone else around.

“Brooklyn looked after his siblings a couple of evenings, so Vic and David could have date nights, which really helped them bond and reconnect. She told pals that the pictures don’t show everything.”
