She’s an outspoken advocate of breastfeeding, and has been criticised for continuing to nurse daughter Fifi, four.

But with Fifi starting school in September, Tamara now says she might soon be ready to wind down. LIZZIE KING, 43, FOOD AUTHOR AND BLOGGER, SAYS, “Nigella’s a wonderful cook, but it’s not fair to label a whole chunk of healthy eating as dangerous. After I had my third baby in 2013 my health fell apart and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease.

“I’d previously done a nutritional health coach course and I’d always seen food as a tool to make myself feel better, so I decided to embrace it. I try to eat as much fresh seasonal produce as possible. Plus, I always try to make sure each meal is packed with nutrient- dense foods – which means adding as much veg as possible into my recipes and cooking from scratch. Cutting down on refined sugar and making my own healthier versions of sweet treats has meant that I have a lot more energy; it’s also transformed my skin.

“Because of my thyroid condition and a recent coeliac diagnosis, I can’t eat gluten any more. So food has been a powerful tool for me to be as well as possible. Everyone is different and should always listen to their own bodies but, for me, eating more healthily really has helped change my life. I am rarely ill, and I’m sure our healthy diets has contributed to the fact my kids have only had one day off school in the past six years.

“It’s wrong to demonise all healthy eating, because for a lot of people it’s about celebrating delicious food and feeling as well as you can.”
