Jordan: “My life is crumbling around me”
Following a difficult few months, insiders say Jordan’s life continues to spiral out of control after she lands in trouble with the police and her crippling debts are revealed
Barely a day has B gone by without Jordan putting on a raunchy display of affection with toyboy boyfriend Kris Boyson – appearing desperate to prove just how happy she is following the collapse of her marriage to third husband Kieran Hayler in May.
But last week her facade was dealt another blow after she admitted to breaking her driving ban – an offence that can carry up to six months in prison. And pals say her latest financial woes are forcing Jordan – real name Katie Price – to sell her £2 million Sussex mansion.
VULNERABLE
A source says, “Katie’s been putting on a brave face, but it’s been one thing after another and friends are worried she’s hit rock bottom. She’s confessed to close pals and family that her life just feels like a mess. She was trying to put on a defiant front for Kris because she was scared to show him her vulnerable side, but she couldn’t hide her emotions and has been crying to him. She’s admitted she feels lost and uncertain about what the future holds.”
Last week, the mum-of-five – who revealed she was on antidepressants and in therapy last year after discovering her mum, Amy, had a terminal lung disease – admitted she had broken her driving ban. In an Instagram post, she said she was driving her eldest son, Harvey, 16, to a hospital appointment after believing the ban had expired. She added, “I’ve come such a long way and just want an easy life now. I’ve got out of a hole and am finally happy and looking forward to being my old independent self.” But there was confusion about her explanation when photos later emerged showing her driving daughter Bunny, three, and son Jett, four, from Gatwick airport – with Harvey riding in another car with a friend.
The former glamour model – who was once thought to be worth around £40 million – has also reportedly fallen on hard times. Last week, it was reported that Jordan and Kris had launched a joint clothing business – P and B Boutique – in a desperate bid to turn her financial situation around, and that she was trying to sell the £100,000 luxury car she gifted Kieran for his 30th birthday – which she bought second-hand for £77,000.
She’s also said to be selling her “decrepit” mansion to pay off mounting debts. Shocking photos of the mansion have emerged, showing rubbish and rotting debris outside her front door, an abandoned swimming pool and a broken-down dumpster truck in the garden. The source adds, “Everyone’s concerned Katie’s life is crumbling and she’s struggling to find the energy to deal with all the drama. She’s terrified of being slapped with a huge fine for breaking her driving ban, which will make her financial situation even more stressful. Or worse, the idea of going to prison and being away from family.”
To add to her financial woes, insiders say Jordan is also fearing a huge payout to ex Kieran as they gear up for divorce proceedings. Insiders claimed in June that Kieran had rejected her offer of a quickie £350 divorce and was after a large chunk of her fortune after being forced to give up his career as a stripper to become a stay-at-home dad. The source adds, “Katie knows Kieran won’t take a low offer and is prepared to fight for big money in their divorce. It’s just another stress she wishes she could make disappear.”
IN A DARK PLACE
The source adds, “She’s always been materialistic and, to her, a person’s worth is measured by their possessions, so the fact she’s at risk of losing it all could made her spiral into a dark place. Her brother Danny is trying to convince her to downsize her home. She knows it makes sense, but she loves living the flash
life because she associates that with success. She doesn’t want to admit she’s failed.”
Last month, it was reported that Jordan was now only communicating with her first husband, Peter Andre, 45, through lawyers and that their children, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, were living with him amid claims he’d grown concerned over her “out of control” behaviour. She was then accused of being a “bad mother” by trolls following claims she’d left disabled Harvey – who is blind and suffers from Prader-willi syndrome, autism and ADHD – with a neighbour while she holidayed with Kris, 29, in Thailand. And insiders say she secretly fears things with Peter will only get worse.
The source adds, “Katie’s developed a thick skin over the years, but the one thing she can’t take is being painted as a bad mother. Tension with Pete just adds to her anxiety.”
Insiders say another reason she’s reluctant to admit defeat is her desperation to prove that she’s happier without Kieran.
Kieran – who cheated with Jordan’s best pals Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas, as well as their former nanny, Nikki Brown – has since moved on with his new girlfriend, air hostess Michelle Penticost, whose child attends Jett’s school.
The source adds, “Katie has been on a mission to prove she’s better off without Kieran. She’s been determined to ‘win’ the break-up by moving on first and making her life appear so much happier. She says she’s got some endorsement and TV deals lined up and is relying on making big money from those. Her family and pals have urged her to face up to reality, but it seems as though she’s burying her head in the sand in the hope it’ll all go away.”
