Love Island

-

Coupled from the very first C episode, Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham were crowned champions of Love Island 2018, with 79 per cent of the final’s 4.1m viewers voting for them to win.

And runners up Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel – who lived with the pair for six weeks in the villa – predict they’ll be together for the long haul.

Josh, 26, says, “Jack and Dani are the real thing. All the Islanders would get bored during the day, but we’d just sit and listen to their conversations. They’d talk about everything from Thorpe Park, to their families, to whether or not they’re going to get a dog. They’re so funny – it’s amazing to be around them.”

Kaz, 23, and Josh – who paired up when the boys were taken off to Casa Amor, a separate villa – have also been a solid couple throughout the show, with viewers even branding them “too smug” for their overly loved-up behaviour.

And the couple admit that, after being together 24 hours a day for over a month, they’re worried about being apart and adjusting to life outside of the villa, back home in the UK.

Josh says, “We’re going to really miss each other. She’d go off somewhere in the villa, maybe to the Beach Hut to talk for half an hour or go on a day trip, and I’d be like, ‘When is she coming back?’ I miss her when she’s gone”. Meanwhile, Kaz added, “It’s going to be hard. You get really attached.”

Make-up artist Kaz and online video presenter Josh also caused controversy on the show when they returned from Casa Amor as a couple, much to the outrage of Georgia Steel, who had previously been partnered with Josh.

And amid rumours last week of a fall-out between Georgia and her fellow Islanders – with reports she’d left their Love Island Whatsapp group – Kaz admits that she found Georgia difficult at times.

She says, “It was savage that Josh coupled up with me over Georgia, so I expected her to be horrible. But if I was in her position, I don’t think I would’ve called her by the wrong name on purpose. At first it was funny, but then she did it a couple more times and it was on purpose. But that’s just Georgia – and when you get to know her, you realise that that’s what she’s like. We got on well in the end.”
