POSH LEANS ON EMMA AFTER SPICE GIRLS DRAMA

ASpice Girls reunion A has been teased for years, but Mel B recently confirmed the iconic pop group will be touring next year, saying they were “definitely getting back together” but only as a foursome, adding, “There’s one that’s been a bit difficult. But I’m hoping she’s going to get roped in.”

Speculation was rife that Mel, 43 – who was talking on Loose Women – was referring to Victoria Beckham, prompting online trolls to hit out, saying, “Why is Victoria Beckham such a stick in the mud ruining the spice girls reunion tour?!” while another added, “A cardboard cut-out will provide the stage presence she brings anyway.”

Insiders say Posh, 44 – who has recently suffered constant scrutiny over her 19-year marriage to David Beckham – has had enough of the negativity around her and is turning to former bandmate Emma Bunton.

A source says, “Vic has enough on her plate right now. She wants to prioritise her marriage, especially as David is based in Miami most of the time. She’s already told Mel and the other girls that a tour would mean even more time away from David and she can’t commit to that.

“Vic is upset by the backlash and Mel bad-mouthing her publically. She’s kept a dignified silence, but Emma has been her closest confidant over the past few months. She has been incredibly supportive, telling her she needs to put herself and her own life first and how there’s always time for another Spice Girls reunion when all five of them are in the right place.”
