It was fantastic having the new cast members join us. My first ever job was with James Fleet [the much-loved British actor plays homeless artist Chris Lowe], in Four Weddings And A Funeral – which I am in for a blink!

I am fortunate enough to be a very good sleeper! I tend to tell my husband all of the things I am worrying about, and then I fall sound asleep having left all of my problems with him! Their relationship is so unique for a TV drama. It’s the sort of thing I want to see – a man and a woman who really love and respect each other and are there when the other needs them, emotionally and physically. University brought me my two best friends, who are my family – we are the family who picked each other. It doesn’t cover it when I call them my friends, because they are so much more than that, and have certainly put up with much more than friends should!
