GEMMA’S FRIENDS WARN: ‘Don’t let Arg use you for fame’
After reportedly splitting up last month, Gemma Collins and her on/off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent were spotted kissing in Marbella last week, with Arg even dubbing his TOWIE co-star “my girl” on Instagram.
Closer recently reported how pals suspected Gemma, 37, had reconciled with Arg, 30 – as well as her two exes, ex-con Stephen Mortimer and Laurence Hearn, whom she met on Celebs Go Dating – to create a dramatic love triangle storyline for her new reality show. But insiders say there are fears that Gemma is playing with fire with Arg – and that he could be the one who ends up using her.
A source says, “Gemma puts on a good front. She’s been loving making out to pals that she’s got all these offers from different men, but the truth is that she still genuinely loves Arg and would drop everything in a heartbeat to get back with him properly.
“She’s been acting all confident, as if she knows exactly what she’s doing, but her friends are worried she’s going to end up getting hurt. They’ve warned her not to let Arg use her for fame and to keep her eyes wide open.”
Arg has admitted to cheating on his girlfriends in the past, and his relationship with Gemma was said to be rocky before their rumoured split three weeks ago. Just last year, Gemma broke down in tears on TOWIE after she told Arg she loved him and he admitted he didn’t feel the same way.
The source adds, “Gemma will never stop loving Arg. But she’s got too much pride to admit that he may not be able to give her what she wants.”
