he’s made S no secret of worshipping her idol Kim Kardashian, previously telling Closer, “I love Kim’s hair and I also think her curvy bum is amazing.”

But reality diva Gemma Collins went one step further with her adoration last week, replicating Kim’s most infamous Instagram shots, including posing stark naked. And pals say achieving Kim’s global star status is 37-year-old Gemma’s dream. When she recreated Kim’s iconic Paper magazine cover in April, the star Tweeted, “Kim Kardashian don’t run this town no more hunnies, the GC does!”

A source says, “The pictures are just part of her master plan. She wants to take her reality show to the US and has been studying Kim’s route to fame, poring over every detail of her career to emulate it. Gemma’s obsessed with being the British version of Kim. She’s convinced she can achieve that level of fame and fortune and says people are finally waking up to

the fact she really will do it.”

While trolls were quick to lash out, dubbing TOWIE star Gemma as “self-obsessed” and “desperate”, the pictures she posted to Instagram promoting HTC phones received a lot of support too. Comments included, “I’m not a fan, but it’s funny if she is doing it for the comedic purpose & not as a comparison. At least Gemma is big & natural!” While another added, “I actually thought this was very funny and tongue-incheek, good for her.”

SECRET TO SUCCESS

Insiders say 5ft 9 Gemma – who’s a size 18 – is fiercely proud of her curves, and after years of battling her weight and yo-yoing between a size 14 and a 24, she now believes her curves are the secret to her success.

She’s said, “I’ve got a size 18 figure to die for! I’ve got the best body on TOWIE and it’s 100 per cent natural. I’m a normal girl and I’m not ashamed of my body because no one is perfect. I love walking around the house naked, with everything dangling out… I’m a real woman and I love my curves.”

And in July, she said, “Why change the person that everyone loves? You’re never going to see me drinking some protein shake and doing 20 squat thrusts. I will never follow suit… If I was 10st, I would look highly unattractive – it would be damaging to my body.”

The source says, “Gemma gave up on the idea of being skinny years ago and has learned to embrace who she is and she’s incredibly confident in her own skin. She thinks her curves set her apart from all the other scrawny wannabes and is always telling friends it’s her candy and she’s not afraid to show it off. She always gets loads of compliments from men on social media, which helps boost her confidence, too.”

As Closer previously reported, Gemma has been enjoying a love triangle with on-off exes James “Arg” Argent, ex-convict Stephen Mortimer and Celebs Go Dating star Laurence Hearn – and pals say it’s doing wonders for her self-esteem. The source says, “Gemma loves having three men chasing after her and relishes having them fight for her attention. Keeping them all on the go is part of her bigger plan to add to her image of a curvy pinup, who’s adored by men.”

PLANS FOR STARDOM

Meanwhile, sources say that Gemma – worth an estimated £3m – welcomes any attention she receives online as she believes it is good for her career.

Footage of her now infamous fall at Radio 1’s Teen Awards in October went global – with Gemma later revealing it had boosted her profile Stateside. She said, “My life since I fell off that stage has been a whirlwind. My feet haven’t touched the ground… When I went to New York they treated me like a megastar.” She went on to have a cameo in the trailer for US series Orange Is The New Black and has landed her own reality show.

The source says, “As Gem sees it, the more people are talking about her, the more attention she’s getting, the more money she’s going to make – so it all contributes to her bigger plan of being a huge star.”
