Michelle tells Mark: “Please don’t share our baby secret”
Her husband’s loose-lipped comments on their plans for a family have troubled Michelle Keegan
His recent debut H as a co-host on This Morning was overshadowed by the revelation that Mark Wright was keen to start a family with his wife of three years, Michelle Keegan.
During his stint on the ITV show, Mark, 31, admitted they talk about baby names “all the time”, adding in an interview published last week that “twins would be great because you’re getting two out of the way at once… triplets would be even better!”
UNNECESSARY PRESSURE
But pals say Michelle, 31 – who was seen filming comedy show Brassic in Manchester last week – is upset their personal plans have been made public.
A source says, “Mark was a bit overexcited about his latest TV gig and couldn’t help but let slip about their baby plans. He wants the world to know how in love he is and that he’s planning a happy future, but Michelle is upset that it’s made all the headlines once again – it’s a very personal topic for her. She worries that everyone will start speculating about her getting pregnant and put unnecessary pressure on them. She’s asked Mark not to share their baby secret and to keep any plans for a family between them.”
While Mark has repeatedly admitted he’d like to start a family, only last month former Corrie actress Michelle said she was “just not ready for children”, and pals say she’s still not sure when the right time will be.
The source says, “Michelle wants kids eventually, but when they start trying, she only wants her and Mark to know about it. Who knows what could happen? And if it takes longer than they expect, she would rather not have everyone asking her about it.”
BACK IN A GOOD PLACE
Ever since the couple wed in May 2015, their long-distance marriage has received intense speculation – with Mark working in LA as a presenter for entertainment show Extra, and Michelle filming various acting roles around the world.
But as Closer recently reported, the couple are finally back in a good place after they agreed to find a way to live in the same country – and Mark hopes his recent stint on This Morning could lead to a permanent job in the UK.
The source adds, “After all this time apart, Michelle doesn’t want anything to jeopardise their happiness. They’re finally enjoying being together in the same country and time zone, and Michelle wants that to be their focus for now – babies can come later.”
