They were forced T apart for nearly a month, after he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in August. But last week, Ryan Thomas was reunited with girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh after being hailed the show’s winner.
Ryan posted a sweet snap of the pair kissing after their reunion, with a heart emoji and the caption “HER”. And speaking to Closer following his victory, Ryan opened up about the pair’s future together, admitting he could see wedding bells in the future.
The former Coronation Street actor said, “It was three and a half weeks in the CBB house, but it felt like a year of my life. For me, family is everything, and having my family at the final – especially my brothers and Lucy – was a real privilege. It’s so important at this stage in my life to take one day at a time. Thinking forward, Lucy is someone I want in my life for a very long time. Babies and marriage is something we’ll talk about in time.”
Former TOWIE star Lucy stood by Ryan, 34, after he endured accusations of violence from Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet while in the house. Roxanne, 35, accused Ryan of “punching her in the ribs” following what appeared to be a harmless playfight. The incident gained over 25,000 complaints from the public about Roxanne’s overreaction, and many of Ryan’s former Corrie co-stars spoke out in his defence, with Lucy admitting that watching her man break down on screen was “killing her”.
But since his exit, Ryan has spoken out about the situation and said he would forgive Roxanne – who has taken a
step back from the limelight since the furore. He said, “Forgiveness is a big thing, so if she wants forgiveness and it makes her feel better, then I would give her that.”
Ryan’s former housemate, Natalie Nunn, also revealed the actor had been determined not to miss Lucy’s 27th birthday while in the house, even organising for his nine-yearold daughter Scarlett – from his previous relationship with Corrie co-star Tina O’brien – to deliver a Rolex watch to Lucy.
After a month apart, Ryan was spotted in a sweet reunion with his daughter as he went to pick her up from school last week.
