She’s no stranger S to surgery, and has previously admitted to having a nose job, boob job, lip fillers and Botox since rising to fame on TOWIE in 2010.
But last week, Lauren Goodger sparked panic among fans that she’d now gone to worrying extremes when she was pictured out celebrating her 32nd birthday.
The star was barely recognisable from the freshfaced and natural look she sported on TOWIE eight years ago. Fans couldn’t hide their shock online, with one cruelly posting, “You look like a man in a dress! In fact I’ve seen men in dresses who look more feminine than you. Yeah, you’ve lost a bit of weight, but what you’ve done to your face is beyond repair.”

Another added, “It’s actually quite shocking what she has done to her face. She’s unrecognisable”.
Lauren has been open about her insecurities, admitting she had her 2011 nose job after being uhappy with how she looked on TV. She explained, “The more I watched the shows, the more of a complex I would get about my appearance.”
She’s also said her past relationship with Mark Wright – who she dated on and off for ten years before splitting in August 2011 after countless cheating claims – left her feeling self-concious about her looks. He was seen on-screen mocking her appearance and she even commented, “Mark told me we’d be more successful if I lost weight”.
And in 2014, the reality star revealed on CBB, “I’m a girl, a young girl. Judging my looks, my weight and all that. That’s mentally draining. That’s why I’m so unconfident [sic].”
A source reveals, “Lauren puts on a front in the public eye, but friends know she suffers from crippling insecurities due to certain things her past boyfriends have remarked on and mean comments from some fans. Lauren’s said she has surgery to feel better, but friends worry she’s addicted to the procedures and is now always looking for the latest treatment to get her next fix.” Lauren, who has opened up to Closer about her desperation to have a baby, has also battled a toxic love life in the spotlight. Aside from her relationship with Mark, she endured a stormy on/off romance with jailed boyfriend Joey Morrison. She admitted the ex-con – who has now been released – was controlling about her weight, telling Closer last year, “Joey would have me locked in a room on a treadmill and would feed me water and bloody veg.” And despite flying to Turkey earlier this year to undergo a bout of liposuction and body contouring – reportedly to look “perfect” for Joey – she was left heartbroken in July when the pair split after he was accused of messaging other girls behind her back.

The source adds, “Lauren feels as though everything has fallen down around her. She’s not that close to her family and she needs that support right now.
“A lot of her friends are settled down and have started a family. Instead, Lauren’s turning to surgery as a crutch. She thinks she looks the best she ever has, but pals are pleading with her to stop. They’ve told her she’s a natural beauty and she needs to curb the surgery.”
The source adds, “Obviously, Lauren has been hurting over Joey and him being released only makes it worse. She now worries about bumping into him and is still sad over how things have turned out. She’s trying to prove on her social media that she’s having the time of her life, but deep down she’s still feeling upset.
“Friends are telling her she needs to take time out for herself and stop putting on this hard front. They’ve said she won’t find happiness or confidence with surgery.”
