Coleen’s hurt over new marriage betrayal
Coleen Rooney has told friends she felt humiliated after a Us-based psychic exposed their private session
Her marriage to H Wayne Rooney has endured its fair share of ups and downs, and last year was especially turbulent after the footballer was hit with a drink-drive arrest following his boozy night out with party girl Laura Simpson. Coleen was pregnant with their fourth child, Cass, at the time.
Yet despite attempting to start a new chapter with their recent move to Washington DC, pals say Coleen was left feeling hurt and embarrassed last week when psychic Mrs Jessica revealed she had given her a reading about her love life – insisting, “I’m very precise in my readings – I saw troubles in the marriage.”
EXPOSED
A source reveals, “Coleen felt betrayed that the psychic she visited revealed such personal information. She feels exposed as she knows people are often speculating about her and Wayne.”
Fans were quick to agree with the psychic’s prediction that Coleen could face heartbreak, with one posting online, “The psychic is correct. I also predict future marital problems.” Another added, “She didn’t need to go to a physic to be told this, people had told her once a cheat always a cheat.”
The source adds, “Coleen just wants her marriage to be back on track, with everyone supporting them, but sometimes it feels as if people want to see her fail.”
This isn’t the first time that Coleen, 32, has sought out a medium. In 2010, after call girl Jennifer Thompson claimed she’d had sex with Wayne while Coleen was pregnant with Kai, now eight, Coleen reportedly visited a psychic to ask what the future would hold for her love life.
By this point, Coleen – who is also mum to Klay, five, and Kit, two – had already weathered storms in their relationship, including allegations in 2004 that Wayne had visited a brothel around ten times. It was at this same brothel that he reportedly slept with a 48-year-old grandmother. She later denied these claims, while Wayne went on to admit to sleeping with unnamed prostitutes.
FEELING LOST
The source adds, “When things get tough for Coleen, she has been known to seek spiritual guidance. It’s helped in the past when she’s been feeling lost and confused.”
It’s certainly been a testing time for Coleen this past month. As Closer recently reported, the star was angered that her past troubles with Wayne had been coming back to haunt her. She faced a barrage of negativity when she posted a picture of herself and Wayne on Instagram last month, with fans accusing her of secretly masking her unhappiness. The couple faced further embarrassment when The New York Post labelled Wayne a “prostitute sh***er” in an article introducing him to readers.
“Coleen just wants all this negativity surrounding Wayne’s past to end,” says the source. “She’s just hoping that everyone will see they’re happy and just move on.”
