FERNE’S ‘FEELING POSITIVE’ AFTER ARTHUR’S JAIL APPEAL

-

She’s faced S a stressful few weeks following news that her ex-boyfriend, Arthur Collins, was appealing against his 20-year sentence after being found guilty of a nightclub acid attack in London last year.

But despite the drama, Ferne Mccann looked relaxed when she was pictured in gym gear with their daughter, Sunday.

A source reveals, “Ferne’s trying to stay positive and look to the future. She’d love to meet a new man and won’t let what happened with Arthur spoil her future happiness.”

In early October, reports emerged that Collins, 26, was appealing his sentence for the attack in which he hurled a corrosive substance over a crowded dance floor. Sixteen people suffered chemical burns, with a further three temporarily blinded.

Last December, Collins was sentenced to 20 years behind bars and was told he would serve at least three-quarters of the sentence.

His appeal was rejected by three judges at the Court of Appeal in London, with Lord Justice Simon, saying, “We accept that this was a severe sentence, but these were exceptionally serious offences, and the severe sentence was fully justified.”

Meanwhile, Ferne – who has taken her 11-month daughter to visit Collins in jail – seemed unfazed by events as she spent quality time with Sunday last week. The EX-TOWIE star, 27, told Closer last month that she was back on the dating scene and is hoping to meet her dream man so she can have a happy family.

She explained, “I’m being proactive – I’m making a conscious effort to take the Tube rather than get cabs, because you never meet anyone in a taxi. So I’ve been taking the Tube, hoping for that whole Sliding Doors thing. I could meet my Mr Right then!”
