CHERYL’S PALS PLAY CUPID

As the singer puts a difficult few months behind her, friends are rallying to help her find Mr Right

She’s been S working hard on her fifth solo album, with reports her new material will expose the secrets behind her shock split from Liam Payne in July.

And after Cheryl was pictured enjoying a rare night off to celebrate former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts’ birthday with Kimberley Walsh, insiders say her pals are on a mission to set her up with someone new.

A source says, “Cheryl had a great night out. Everyone said she seemed in good spirits and feeling really positive. Writing the new album has been really therapeutic for her, and she feels ready to put that chapter behind her. Her friends think she’s ready to get back in the dating game and are suggesting setting her up. They think they know exactly what kind of man Cheryl needs to be with, and believe they know what hasn’t worked for her in the past. They’d love for her to have some fun on hot dates.”

BEING SINGLE

Cheryl, 35, reportedly split from Liam, 25, after growing tired of being left to take care of Bear alone, and was also said to have become frustrated over his single-man behaviour – with the former 1D star being accused of flirting with singer Rita Ora and Brazilian singer Anitta – who he described as “hot” and “sexy”. Last week, Liam even revealed he was eager to play womaniser James Bond.

And while Cheryl hasn’t been pictured with a man since the split, Liam has been linked with many women, including model Cairo Dwek, 19, and Instagram star Maya Henry, 18. Last week, he was also spotted out for dinner with Italian model Vian Rasool, 21, who he denied was his girlfriend.

DIFFERENCES

The source adds, “Cheryl’s friends liked Liam, but they felt there were a lot of differences between them. They’ve suggested setting her up with someone who is settled and maybe out of the spotlight.”

Meanwhile, it was reported that after Cheryl laid low during her pregnancy, and for the first six months of Bear’s life, her retreat away from the public eye had cost her more than £750,000 in earnings.

And insiders say pals fear she’s now even more nervous about her comeback album. The source adds, “Cheryl sacrificed so much during her relationship. Her return to the spotlight adds more pressure as she feels she has something to prove.”
