Lauren’s shock plan to use ‘porn’ app for comeback
After suffering a huge setback in her fortunes, the former TOWIE star is eager to get her fame back on track
She shocked fans S last week when she revealed on Instagram that she was planning to join celebrity app Only Fans, which allows fans to see intimate and sometimes explicit content for a fee, and also insisted she wanted her next relationship to be with a girl.
Just days later, it was revealed that Lauren Goodger’s LRG company had been struck off and her other businesses had been dissolved or were close to being shut down. Now, insiders fear the 32 year old, who still makes money from promoting products on her Instagram account and earlier this year launched a clothing collection with British label So Monroe, will do anything to claw back her fortune and fame.
SHOCK VALUE
A source reveals, “Friends were shocked by Lauren’s admission online. They know she likes to post racy selfies on Instagram, but they couldn’t believe she’d go as far as to join Only Fans, and thinks she may not understand what she’s letting herself in for. They think she could be in for a shock – while it is not only used for porn, it’s renowned for explicit content. They don’t want her reputation to be dragged down – she’d never post an X-rated snap online.
“They were also surprised to hear she wanted to date a girl. They felt it was something she said for shock value and attention. They know Lauren’s really struggled in recent weeks with the news her businesses are collapsing. She’s always admired reality stars like Kim Kardashian who have created business empires from their name. She wants to be successful and to see everything crumble has been tough.”
RAUNCHY SNAPS
Last year, it was revealed that former Celebrity Big Brother star Chloe Khan was charging fans up to £20 a month for access to racy content on the Only Fans app. Former Love Island star Katie Salmon and CBB star Courtney Stodden were also said to be doing the same.
The source adds, “Lauren remained tight-lipped on what she’d post online but friends hope she just didn’t realise how raunchy the app can be. Lauren has always said sex sells and she likes to post raunchy snaps in her underwear. But friends and family just hope she doesn’t post something she later regrets.”
Lauren has faced a tough few months. Her on-off romance with jailed Joey Morrison ended in July after he was caught messaging a string of other women. Insiders revealed to Closer that her heartache further intensified when he was released from prison last month – telling pals she was eager to see him.
The source adds, “No one would blame Lauren for still being cut up over Joey. She put a lot of time and effort into that romance. It’s even harder since his release, as she now fears seeing him with another girl. She wanted the fairy-tale ending with him so the thought of him having it with someone else is upsetting.”
BOTCHED JOB
The star – who found fame on TOWIE in 2010 – was also forced to admit last week that she’d had botched filler in her jawline after shocking fans with her drastically altered appearance earlier this month.
Despite initially claiming her photos had been edited, Lauren finally owned up to having work done – posting a video of herself having filler dissolved and admitting she longed for her “old face”.
The star – who’s had a nose job, boob job, liposuction and lip fillers – told fans on Instagram, “I had a little bit of sculpting filler here in my jawline, which looks amazing at certain angles but it’s actually made my face bigger than what it is and given me a kind of manly look.”
A source reveals, “Lauren was fed up with everyone criticising her looks and wanted to be honest with fans about the fillers. She’s gutted they went wrong and it has made her think twice about more surgery. She wants to get back to the freshfaced look she had when she became famous. Her friends are saying she looks so much better and are hoping she doesn’t have anything else done.”
