Jemma: “Jordan could end up dead if she doesn’t get help”

Reality star Jemma Lucy, who lived with Jordan in 2013, opens up about her fears for the mum of five

She’s shared every S intimate detail of her life with the press since rising to fame. But few know the real Jordan – real name Katie Price – as well as reality star Jemma Lucy, who lived with her in 2013 after the pair became close on her reality show Signed By Katie Price.

And while Jordan has been slated by former fans due to her recent spate of wild partying and law-breaking, Jemma says she’s witnessed the star’s out-of- control behaviour many times before and insists it’s a cry for help.

AN ESCAPE

She says, “Katie is an impulsive person and has always said she loves to shock. But her recent behaviour says to me that she’s been through a lot and is struggling. I was close to Katie when I lived with her and I got to know her really well. She’s a loving mum and the type of person that, when she’s at her happiest, she wants to stay home and live the quiet life. But when she’s been through something or is feeling emotional, she likes to escape through wild nights out. I can relate to her. She’s obviously going through a lot.”

The Ex On The Beach star – who suffered a fallout with Jordan in recent years – lived with the 40-year-old star in her Sussex home when she needed somewhere to stay for four months. At the time, Jordan had split with second husband Alex Reid and was on and off with model Leandro Penna.

She says, “Katie is just Katie when she’s at home. But when she’s feeling unhappy, that’s when Jordan comes out. Katie is someone who loves being in love and just wants affection. She’s been treated badly by men in the past and when she’s heartbroken, she’ll do anything to make herself feel better. When I lived with her, she was very on and off with Leandro. When they were good, we’d often stay home and just get a takeaway. But when they were off, she wanted to go out and party. Katie likes to flirt with men and gets a buzz off attention from them on nights out.”

But Jemma – who quit alcohol in 2017 due to an addiction to partying – admits she’s grown increasingly concerned for her former pal in recent months and says the star needs to change her ways and throw herself into treatment.

SELF-DESTRUCTION

The reality star, 30, adds, “Katie seems more off the rails right now than when I knew her. The drink-driving is shocking and it does seem like it’s one thing after the next recently. People can slate her all they want, but it’s clear to me she’s really hurting inside. Katie is a proud person and doesn’t like to admit vulnerability – I think she sees that as a weakness. But right now it seems like she’s on a path of self-destruction. She’ll only get better if she wants to get better.

“I really hope Katie gets a wake-up call soon and realises she needs to turn things around. Things like drink-driving and wild paryting are dangerous – she could even end up dead.

“She’s needs to look inwards. Katie’s not a weak character; she’s a strong woman, a single mum with five kids, including a disabled son. She can use her inner strength to change. I know she can turn this around.”
