Panicked Kim steps in as Kanye’s rants shock fans

After her husband’s meeting with Trump and outbursts that exposed him to ridicule, the reality star puts Kanye in his place

She’s been forced S to watch her husband Kanye West stir up controversy after controversy in recent months – posting rants on social media and launching into angry speeches on stage. And last week, the rapper shocked fans once again when he met with President Trump for lunch at the Oval Office to discuss his home city of Chicago – launching into expletive-laden outbursts and rambling that appeared to leave the President speechless.

But after the rapper, 41, deleted all traces of his social media last week, insiders tell Closer how his wife, Kim Kardashian, 37, is now stepping in to try to take more control of her husband’s career – telling him she wants to call the shots to protect their marriage.

A source reveals, “Kim’s watched Kanye self-sabotage for too long, and says it’s time to repair his damaged reputation before he ruins his career for good. She was happy for him to meet with Trump, but tried to coach him on what to say and how to carry himself. But she felt he just went into a rant again and raised even more eyebrows.”

CONTROVERSIES

The source adds, “Having watched her ‘momager’ Kris Jenner for so many years, she knows the industry well, and insists that by taking control, it will not only save him from ruining everything they’ve worked for, but also help their marriage, too, as it will put a stop to their rows over his outbursts.”

The outspoken music star – who suffers from bipolar disorder and has reportedly refused to go back on medication – has stirred up constant drama in recent months. This includes his pro-president Trump rant on Saturday Night Live earlier this month – in front of five-year-old daughter North – announcing he was moving back to Chicago, and shocking with explicit lyrics that hinted he wanted to have sex with his four sisters in law.

And Kanye admitted how Kim called him screaming and crying after he said slavery was a “choice” in an interview with TMZ earlier this year.

CELEBRITY FEUDS

The rapper – who shares North, Saint, two, and ten-month-old Chicago with Kim – also sparked a feud with singer Lana Del Rey, who slammed Kanye for his support of President Trump, labelling him a “narcissist”.

It was also reported that Kanye’s former close friends Beyoncé and Jay-z – who he referred to as “family” on his Instagram recently – had cut him off over his behaviour.

Now, pals say Kim wants to step in before her husband

– who famously fell out with Taylor Swift after an on/off feud that began at the 2009 VMAS – makes any more enemies.

The source adds, “Kim’s tried reasoning with Kanye, but it’s never worked. So, this time, she told him that he has no choice but to let her take over, which he reluctantly agreed to. Kim’s sick of being caught off guard and worrying about what he’s going to say next, so she’s hoping she can censor some of his outbursts.

“Her first step was making him come off social media, and now, she’s working on a longterm plan to stop the drama and allow him to focus on putting out great music and being a loving husband and father.”
