WILL’S TEARFUL MARRIAGE CONFESSION

-

They might appear to be one of the most picture-perfect couples in Hollywood, but Will Smith has recently opened up about the devastating problems in his marriage that left wife Jada Pinkett Smith crying for weeks on end.

Speaking to their daughter Willow, 17, in a clip from Jada’s new online chat show Red Table Talk, Will broke down in tears as he recalled his wife’s upset during a low point in their relationship.

“There was a period where Mommy woke up and cried for 45 days straight. I started keeping a diary,” Will, 50, told his daughter in a newly released preview clip.

With a laugh, Jada, 47, interjected Will, saying, “You missed some days.”

Will continued, “It was every morning. I think that was the worst I have ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”

The couple celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary last year, having tied the knot in Baltimore on New Year’s Eve in 1997. But, earlier this year, Will revealed that the pair “don’t even say that we’re married any more”.

He explained, “We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space when you realise that you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life.

“There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do – ever. Nothing would break our relationship.

“She has my support until death and it feels so good to get to that space.”
