Pete’s desperation after Jordan’s latest drama
After Jordan sparked doubt that she took her rehab stint seriously, pals say ex Peter Andre is growing increasingly concerned for her
Her wild behaviour H has continued to be a source of concern for her friends and family in recent months – following her shock drink-drive arrest and flitting between toyboys Alex Adderson and Kris Boyson, despite entering rehab for PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).
And last week, it was reported that Jordan’s ex-husband Peter Andre – from whom she split in 2009 – was desperate for the star to take her treatment seriously for the sake of their children Junior, 13, and Princess, 11.
Days later, the 45 year old – who wed Emily Macdonagh in 2015 – was seen in a video posted on Instagram, with Junior worryingly asking him, “Papi’s getting a bit old, is Papi OK? You’ve got some grey hairs Papi, are you stressing?”
A source reveals, “Pete has been understandably concerned about Katie, as the mother of his children. It’s a nightmare – he worries about what Junior and Princess could read, or what kids could say to them in the playground. Understandably, he wants Katie to make a recovery and take her treatment seriously for their sake, as they love their mum so much. Despite their differences, Pete still hates seeing Katie fall apart and the knock-on effect it can have on the kids. It’s been an emotional time.”
Peter opened up about his concerns for his kids amid Jordan’s public meltdown in September, saying, “I’m dealing

with everything that’s going on at the moment, but I think it’s very important to deal with these things privately and I’m doing so. Making sure my kids are protected and away from any negativity is my main priority.”
Despite having a fractious relationship throughout the years, Peter and Jordan appeared to be on better terms before her life took a turn for the worse.
THE DEVIL INSIDE
Pete, who was married to Jordan – also mum to Harvey, 16, Jett, five, and Bunny, four – from 2005 to 2009, once said his ex-wife had “the devil inside her” when she gets drunk.
Speaking exclusively to Closer, Jordan’s former close pals Danielle Lloyd – who was a bridesmaid when she wed second husband Alex Reid – and Francine Lewis both spoke about the influence Pete had on her life. Danielle said, “Everything that’s happened in her life is because she wants to feel like how she did when she was with Pete.”
While Francine added, “I don’t feel Katie has been happy since she broke up with Pete. I don’t know if she’ll ever be happy with anyone.”
The source says, “Pete knows Katie better than a lot of people and has been worried about her in recent months – as anyone would worry about the mother of their children. His hope would be they could both get to a stage where they can reach out to each other if they need help – for the sake of the children.”
Last week, Jordan cast doubt among fans she wasn’t taking her treatment seriously when she was pictured bringing in a camera crew for her reality show My Crazy Life to film her exit from rehab facility The Priory.
One critic posted, “She’s making a mockery of those attempting to face their demons in what they believe is a place of peace, privacy and discretion.” Another said, “And there you go – it’s all for a reality-tv show.”

The source says, “Katie insisted to pals that she wanted to take her treatment seriously. But she also wants to get her career back on track and she’s enjoyed huge success by letting fans see the most personal and heartbreaking moments of her life. She feels if she documents her rehab and recovery, she could also cash-in on making the ultimate comeback.”
The star – who was once worth £45m – avoided bankruptcy in August when a judge gave her 12 weeks to pay off her debts. Jordan reportedly owed £100k in mortgage arrears on her £2m mansion, and was said to have five county court judgments, totalling £25k, against her name.
As well as selling her horses and the £77,000 Audi she bought her estranged husband, Kieran Hayler, 31, from whom she split in May, she recently admitted to staging lewd paparazzi pics with on/off boyfriend, Kris, 29, in a bid to rake in more cash.
Last week, it was reported that the star – who’s been struggling since her marriage collapse earlier this year, as well as her mum Amy’s lung disease diagnosis – was “stressed and tearful” after realising she can’t afford to buy a new home. Days later, there were reports Jordan had been involved in a minor car accident two weeks before her drink-driving arrest, when a woman claimed she had been “rear-ended” by the star’s Range Rover and had reported the incident to police.
The source says, “Katie has told pals she knows she needs to work on her recovery and getting better for the sake of her family. But she also is focused on earning cash for the sake of her kids. Katie believes as long as she gets her finances and fame back on track, she’ll be OK. But pals have reminded her that her issues run much deeper than that and she needs to stay focused on her treatment.”
POWER COUPLE
After recently rekindling her romance with Kris, sources revealed to Closer last week that the personal trainer was keen to pop the question in a bid to “save her” from her recent struggles after her beloved mum Amy reached out to him.
And insiders say she’s hopeful to play out the romance on her new show to boost figures. A pal says, “Katie wants her and Kris to become the next celeb power couple and hopes they can cash-in on having a fairy-tale ending. She wants to ensure he’s painted out to be her knight in shining armour, and says she can make loads of money from the proposal, the wedding and their first baby. She believes this is the start of her way back to the top.”
