She was snapped S shopping in Los Angeles last week with her fourmonth-old baby Frida, husband Mattia Dessì, 39, and 25-yearold son Douglas in tow – and insiders say Brigitte Nielsen is enjoying every moment of motherhood at the age of 55.

The actress shocked fans when she announced she was expecting her fifth child – her first with toyboy husband of 12 years, Mattia – earlier this year.

And pals say that, despite initial concerns she’d struggle with a newborn in her late fifties, she’s thriving.

A source reveals, “Brigitte is loving motherhood and says that while she’s more than 30 years older than she was the first time around, she feels more relaxed and chilled out. It’s exhausting, but Mattia is incredibly handson, so he helps enormously.”

Douglas – who was seen tenderly cradling his newborn sister – is one of two sons Brigitte had with fourth husband Raoul Meyer, along

with Raoul Meyer Jr, 23.

The Danish star – who was previously married to Sylvester Stallone – is also mum to Julian Winding, 34, with first husband Kasper Winding, and Killian Gastineau, 28, her son with ex-fiancé and former NFL star Mark Gastineau. She recently opened up about the criticism she received by becoming a mum again at 54, and revealed how she endured 14 years of IVF treatment to get pregnant again. She said, “I respect that not everybody likes it and agrees with it, but it’s my life.”

The source adds, “Having Frida has put the spark back in her and Mattia’s marriage, and they’re stronger than ever. It’s not been easy, but they wouldn’t change it for the world.”
