‘Vic is hoping they can reconnect’

BACKLASH FROM FANS
As well as marriage speculation, Posh has also received backlash from fans in recent months for reportedly refusing to reunite with the Spice Girls for their comeback tour next year. Last week, Posh’s decision to distance herself from the tour was thrust back in the spotlight after former bandmate Mel B took a swipe at her by dressing up as Posh for Halloween – with her pal Gary Madatyan dressed as David.
Singer Mel – who has revealed she’d like Katy Perry to replace Posh on the Spice Girls tour – wore a little black dress, a mask of Victoria’s face, and held a sign saying, “No, I am not going on tour”.
As Christmas approaches, the Beckhams will be gearing up for their annual tropical festive holiday. Now sources say Posh is hoping the trip will give them the chance to spend some quality time together.
The source adds, “Vic is hoping their Caribbean trip will be a chance for them to take time out from their hectic lives. David’s invited Gordon Ramsay and his family, his sister Joanne and her daughter Peggy along, too.
“Vic is hoping that having lots of family and friends around them on the holiday will help her and David to relax and reconnect.”
KEEPING A LOW PROFILE
And despite the recent troubles, pals say Posh is determined to keep fighting for her marriage.
A source adds, “Vic knows that avoiding public appearances together is just a temporary plan to quieten the rumours, and she’s hoping for a more long-term solution. Next year is their 20th anniversary – so her goal is to keep a low-profile until then and hope they can have a big celebration next year.”
