KIM’S PROMISE: ‘I’ll consider another child – if you stop your outbursts!’
As rapper Kanye West vows on social media to avoid courting any more controversy, sources reveal how his reality star wife Kim Kardashian is behind the move
e’s raised H eyebrows for his controversial political statements and jaw-dropping outbursts – but in a dramatic U-turn last week, Kanye West promised to steer clear of any further controversy, Tweeting, “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!”
As Closer previously reported, Kanye’s wife, reality star Kim Kardashian – who was pictured on a beach in Bali last week – had become increasingly stressed over his shocking comments and had been plotting how to tone down his alarming behaviour, even telling pals she was going to take control of his social media.
Now sources reveal that mum-of-three Kim, 38 – who revealed on the family’s reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians last week that her husband had been “harassing her” for more children – has presented the rapper with an ultimatum. Sources say that Kim’s told him she will only consider having another baby if he reins in his reckless behaviour, leading to his vow to turn over a new leaf.
SHOCK BEHAVIOUR
A source adds, “Kim has been panicking about Kanye’s recent erratic outbursts for months, which she knows could have a knock-on effect on her reputation and career, as well as their brand as a whole. She’s repeatedly tried to convince him to be more careful of what he says in public, which he’s failed to do, so now she’s using his eagerness to have more kids as a bargaining tool. Kim told him that there’s no way she’s going to even think about having any more children until he starts taking her feelings into consideration and realising the consequences of his words and actions – and it seems this time he’s actually listened to her.”
Kanye, 41 – who shares children North, four, Saint, two, and ten-month-old Chicago with Kim – has courted scandal with his shock behaviour in recent months, such as his support for controversial US President Donald Trump, as well as claiming slavery was a “choice” and visiting the widely disliked President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni, a supporter of anti-gay laws.
During that visit, Kanye revealed to the Ugandan president that he wanted “seven children”, despite Kim previously admitting she “couldn’t handle more than four”.
NEW ADDITION
Sources say that Kim is relieved at Kanye’s new pledge to steer clear of controversy and is now thinking about how and when she’ll have her fourth child.
The source says, “Kim’s open to the idea of another baby and has told family and friends she’d quite like a fourth child – but she’ll only go ahead when she’s sure Kanye has properly reined in his behaviour.
“After his public vow to steer clear of politics, she’s feeling positive and is now even getting back in touch with the surrogate mother who carried Chicago last year. She’s told everyone that despite all their issues, she’d love another baby to bring her and Kanye closer than ever.”
