‘I hate getting up early’

-

I GET OUT OF BED AT 7AM. I hate getting up early when it’s dark outside, but my children [Charlie, 11, and Daisy, eight] need to go to school. I make their breakfasts and packed lunches, then I’ll have toast, yoghurt and a fruit compote. I’m taking loads of vitamins at the moment, too. I’M NOT A GYM PERSON, BUT I LOVE WALKING. I often join one of my friends for a power walk around the lake in Virginia Water in Surrey, near where I live. It’s a four-mile circuit and it’s beautiful at this time of year. My husband [Reece Hill] is a self-employed electrician, and if he has a day off work, we’ll sneak off to the cinema to see a film together. AT LUNCHTIME, I LIKE TO GO OUT AND EAT WITH A FRIEND. There are loads of great pubs and cafés near me. But if I’m at home, I’m not that organised, and will just pick at whatever is in the fridge. DURING THE AFTERNOON, I REHEARSE FOR MY TOUR. My debut album My Wildest Dreams is out in February and I’m touring with my band next week for a few dates. I’m excited, and slightly terrified! Rehearsals can sometimes carry on into the evening. but if I’m at home in the afternoon, I’ll collect the kids from school. I always do homemade meals, but there’s a limited amount of food Charlie will eat! IN THE EVENING, WE CHILL TOGETHER AS A FAMILY. I love TV and am a fan of crime and medical dramas like Criminal Minds and CSI. I do need my eight hours of sleep, so I try to be in bed by 10.30pm.
