‘MEGALOMANIAC’ NOEL’S FAMOUS FEUDS

-

He ruffled feathers as soon as he entered the jungle last week, after being crowned “Emperor” and lording it over his camp mates, with John Barrowman storming off after he accused him of scratching his groin, and Nick Knowles dubbing him a “megalomaniac”.

And despite having hosted family-friendly hit shows, including Noel’s House Party and Deal Or No Deal, the sometimes prickly 69 year old has sparked a string of celeb spats over the years.

He had a famously frosty encounter with new I’m A Celeb! co-host Holly Willoughby in 2016, after he insisted on This Morning that cancer could be caused by “negative energy”. When Holly suggested his comments were “insensitive”, he blasted back that she’d “missed the point”.

Comedian Nick Helm also revealed that Noel tormented Jimmy Carr when he appeared on a celeb version of Deal Or No Deal for looking like the cartoon sex pest Quagmire from Family Guy.

And he suffered a fallout with former Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter Chris Moyles by calling him “coarse” and “not appropriate” for the BBC. Chris later insisted, “I find a lot of what he says offensive.”

Noel also has a longstanding feud with Lloyds Bank, as he claims their firm HBOS destroyed his company, Unique Group. He also took aim at Countdown star Rachel Riley after she promoted them in an ad, blasting on Twitter, “RACHEL, HAND BACK THE MONEY AND RESTORE YOUR INTEGRITY. YOU’RE EITHER WITH THE VICTIMS OR THE PERPETRATORS.”
