POSH’S FURY OVER NEW AFFAIR RUMOURS
Victoria Beckham is reportedly annoyed that her marriage is under the spotlight yet again over claims husband David was ‘charmed’ by singer Rita Ora
She was reportedly “furious” after shock claims emerged last week that Rita Ora had enjoyed a secret flirtation with her eldest son Brooklyn – when he was 18 and she was 26 – with the pair allegedly sharing “flirty texts.”
Reports quickly followed that the singer had also “flirted” with Posh’s husband, David, at a fashion event in December, just months after her alleged secret exchanges with Brooklyn. It’s claimed they were “lost in conversation” and that the former footballer was “quite charmed” by Rita. But it was reported last week that Rita “really respects David and Victoria and would never cross that line.”
MARITAL PROBLEMS
Trolls were quick to fan the flames of speculation about the Beckhams’ marriage, with one writing online, “David must get sooo tempted by all these women, seriously!” Another wrote, “He gets shown more affection from other women in public than his own wife.” The couple have faced a steady stream of unfounded claims of marital problems and affair rumours. Last year, there were even allegations on Twitter that they were about to divorce, with bookies suspending bets on them splitting up. Posh, 44, recently admitted that the divorce speculation she has faced is “really annoying”, adding, “It can get quite frustrating.”
A source says, “After everything she and David have been through over the past year, she thought the silly affair rumours about her marriage were finally quietening down, so to have Brooklyn’s name connected to Rita – which then led to snaps of her and David resurfacing – is hurtful and infuriating.
“David’s urged her to ignore it, insisting it’s just a low attempt to add fuel to the fire, but Vic is understandably riled by it. She’s annoyed that she has to relive it repeatedly.”
NEGATIVE ATTENTION
The story surfaced just days after David, 43, shared a photo with fashion designer Posh from January 1998 on the 21st anniversary of his proposal. The fashion designer – who also has Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, with David – was upset about the timing of the subsequent rumours.
The source says, “Vic was so happy when David posted that snap – he’s rarely nostalgic – so it was particularly annoying to have negative attention on her marriage again overshadowing a happy memory. She’d love for them to go back to that time when everyone seemed to support their relationship, rather than the constant split speculation they have to endure now.”
Rita’s been loosely interlinked with the Beckhams since 2013, when she dated David’s close friend, sports agent Dave Gardner – with whom Posh reportedly
has a frosty relationship.
In 2015, David and Rita both starred in the same Adidas campaign, and they were snapped together in Cannes in 2017. Then last year, Rita reportedly bought a property next door to the family’s west London mansion.
ROMANCE RUMOURS
Following years of speculation, the Kosovo-born star, 28, was forced to deny an affair with her former music boss, Jay Z, in 2016 – which escalated when his wife Beyoncé addressed the rapper’s infidelity that same year on her album Lemonade.
