‘STEPPING OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT IS A SMART MOVE FOR JEREMY’

-

Stephanie’s troubled ex, Jeremy Mcconnell, was handed a suspended 20-week jail sentence in August 2017 and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work for his attack. But after skipping his community service to get a hair transplant in Turkey, he was sent to jail in November that year – but only served 34 days behind bars.

Like Stephanie, he has since managed to stay out of the headlines, insisting last year that he is “living a very different life”. He also confirmed he was retiring from the spotlight after going public with his romance with lawyer Katie Mcgreath – who represented him throughout his assault case against Stephanie. The pair regularly share photos of each other on social media.

In March last year, he appeared on The Jeremy

Kyle Show and broke down after confessing that his mum, brother and sister – who all tragically died when he was a teenager – would have been “disgusted” by his wild behaviour. He also revealed how it would have upset his dad, who died from cancer in March 2017.

The Irish model, 29 – who Stephanie described as a “deadbeat dad” – also made a desperate plea to see his son Caben-albi, after admitting it had been eight months since they were last together. It’s not known if he still has access to his son.

Closer’s psychological therapist, Emma Kenny, who has interviewed Jeremy, says, “He was broken by losing so many people in his life. Stepping away from the spotlight is a smart move because he’s not going to have to deal with the negative aspects of celebrity life and can take time to work on himself.”
