I’M PROUD OF... being a mum to Mila [two, with her partner Ben Cohen]. She is the best thing in my life. In the past I’d have said my work as a dancer and choreographer and of course Strictly, but becoming a mum changes your perspective and all of those things become irrelevant. MY BEST ADVICE... is to follow your dreams and never give up. I was born in a town in Russia that is nine hours by flight to Moscow, and I never thought I’d end up dancing for a living and working on the biggest TV show in the UK. There were times when I thought I’d give up and do something else, but I was always willing to put in the hours and I’m so glad I went for it. MY LIFE MOTTO IS... there’s always a calm after the storm. You have to go through rough times to appreciate the beauty that lies on the other side. It sounds like a cliché, but when everything is falling apart, just keep going.
