Not a film for the fainthearted, the opening sequence alone is a dizzying test flight that may bring on feelings of motion sickness. But it does give you a very small sense of what space travel must have been like in the ’60s and is, at times, difficult to watch. Ryan Gosling plays perhaps the most famous astronaut of all, Neil Armstrong – but the film focuses mostly on the build-up to the moon landing rather than the event itself. It’s a fascinating insight into Armstrong, and the cinematography is breathtaking.

Johnny English Strikes Again AVAILABLE ON DVD & BLU-RAY OUT 18 FEB

The world’s greatest spy (kind of) is called out of retirement to find a mastermind hacker, which means Mr Bean – sorry, Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) – has to get to grips with modern technology. Easier said than done. It’s harmless, silly fun and a welcome addition to the franchise.
