Jordan’s heartache: “I can’t believe I’ve lost all five of my children”

After revealing she’s considering putting her disabled son Harvey into care, Jordan is crushed that none of her five children will live with her full-time

She made the heart-wrenching announcement last week that she was considering putting her disabled son Harvey into residential care for the safety of her other four children, after revealing he’s smashed windows, TVS and eight ipads in her house – and says she can no longer cope full-time with his needs.

Jordan, also known as Katie Price, appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire show alongside eldest son Harvey, 16 – who suffers from blindness, autism and PraderWilli syndrome, which affects his speech and movement, and also causes constant hunger. She said, “For the first time ever, I’m thinking he might have to go residential Monday to Friday. I’m really having to think about it, but I hate it because he’s my life. The kids can be scared as he’s big, so I have to think of them… He’s missing out on his education, he knows if he kicks off in the morning the driver won’t take him to school. So he’s sussed that out and he wants to spend all his time with me. I’m literally on my own and it can be lonely, I don’t know if any of the other parents can give me advice.”

FEELING TORN

Former glamour model Jordan recently said how quiet it is in the house with just her and Harvey when her other children – Junior, 13, Princess, 11, Jett, five, and Bunny, four – are with their respective dads, Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler. She admitted, “The sad thing about it all is that it always ends up just being me and Harvey… It’s always me and Harvey, because obviously I split the kids and share. It’s boring, because he goes to bed at half six. So I sit there and I’m like ‘Oh’.”

Last week, an old interview with Jordan from 2013 resurfaced where she said she’d never put Harvey in care, saying, “He’ll always live at home. He’s not leaving me.” During an appearance on This Morning last week she discussed her guilt over her change of mind, adding, “I love him so much, he’s my life. It has taken me ages to be convinced this is the best place for him… I have no choice.”

And friends say she is feeling torn as she faces up to the reality of her situation.

A source says, “Katie can’t believe she’s having to face the reality of not being able to care for her son any more. She prides herself on being strong, but she just doesn’t have any fight left. Putting Harvey in care has always been her last resort, but she knows deep down it may be for the best. And her mates have reassured her it could be the best option for all the family.”

The star, 40, also revealed she “never had respite” and does all of Harvey’s care herself – who’s estranged from his biological father, former footballer Dwight Yorke, 47. Closer reported last week that Jordan plans to marry on/off boyfriend Kris Boyson, 30 – whom Harvey calls “Daddy”. And while pals say Kris is very hands-on and helps out as much as he can, it’s become too much for him. Jordan also lost the help from her mum Amy – who gave up her career to help look after her grandson full-time – since she was diagnosed with a terminal lung disease.

STRUGGLING

Meanwhile, Junior and Princess have been living with their dad Pete and his wife, Emily Macdonagh, 29, since last summer due to Jordan’s “wild behaviour” in the wake of her separation from love-rat Kieran, with whom her two youngest are regularly pictured. And pals say Jordan is struggling without all her kids living with her full-time.

Sources have previously revealed to Closer that Jordan constantly worries she’s “been replaced” and fears Kieran is now planning to gain custody of Jett and Bunny.

The source adds, “Katie thrives on the craziness of the kids running round the house singing and dancing, so to know she’ll wake up to silence is daunting. If Harvey does go into care, some weeks it could just be her home alone and that’s scary for her. She can’t believe she’s at the point now where she’s virtually lost all five of her children – the thought of it is killing her.”

Jordan recently revealed her plans to adopt overseas and said she’d consider a child with special needs, but friends are worried.

The source says, “Katie will do anything to avoid living alone. Pals have told her they’re concerned she’s only marrying Kris and planning more kids to replace what she’s missing with her children being away from home. They fear she’s not in the right place emotionally – they’ve told her she needs to be happy alone first before she rushes into anything, but it’s fallen on deaf ears.”
