‘The public were too hard on her’

JOURNALIST SAMANTHA BRICK, 47, says, “When I was asked to be a housemate on CBB in 2012, my initial reaction was ‘No!’ You assume housemates talk about you behind your back and you know Big Brother is watching you for your weak points. That’s why I reckon the public were wrong to come down so hard on Roxanne. Let me be clear: falsely accusing someone of a physical attack has no place in the 21st century. But the older, wiser me knows that when people act out, there’s a reason. Roxanne has spoken about previous physical abuse in her life and she’s also sought help for the PTSD it has clearly left her with. She is deeply apologetic and I reckon she deserves another chance.”
