KATE’S EX HITS OUT AT TOYBOY ROMANCE

-

They’ve kept tongues wagging ever since they were spotted getting close at a Golden Globes after-party – and Kate Beckinsale confirmed her romance with US comedian Pete Davidson by publicly kissing him at a sports event last week. Kate, 45, and toyboy Pete, 25, were pictured cosying up to each other at a hockey match in New York.

The pair had also sparked talk of a serious romance after they were pictured leaving one of Pete’s gigs hand-in-hand, following their rumoured hookup at the Golden Globes.

While the age-gap relationship has raised eyebrows, it seems that the funnyman is just Kate’s type. The actress previously dated American comedian Matt Rife in 2017, when she was 43 and he was 21.

And last week, Matt had his say on Kate’s new romance, seemingly offering Pete a warning. He said, “Advice

to Pete? Man to man? Run… I hope they’re both happy and it can build to an established, good relationship. I don’t really have any solid advice – just be careful.”

Talking about their brief relationship, Matt added, “We dated for a year and it was complicated, for sure. A lot of ups and downs, but she’s moved on and I’m happy. I’m hoping they’re both getting out of it what they want.” Asked if he would date her again, Matt said, “No, absolutely not. Not a chance.”

Kate – who was also linked to British comedian Jack Whitehall, 30, last November – previously had an eight-year relationship with actor Michael Sheen, 50, and the pair share daughter Lily, 20. But the couple split in 2003, although they remain close friends. A year later, Kate married director Len Wiseman, 45, who she met while starring in his film Underworld. The couple got divorced in 2017.

Meanwhile, Pete rose to mainstream fame last year when he began dating singer Ariana Grande in May and got engaged to her after just three weeks together – before she broke off their engagement in October.
